One day each February, the clinic closes and 200 staff members, clients and friends trek to Annapolis to inform lawmakers on the pros and cons of pending legislation related to health care, housing and income. It’s our annual Lobby Day, and here at Health Care for the Homeless, it just might be the most wonderful day of the year.

Every year in December on the winter solstice and longest night of the year, we mark Homeless Person’s Memorial Day. Commemorated in communities across the country, it is an annual tradition in Baltimore, where we gather to honor those of our neighbors without homes who have died in the past year.

Advocate with us.

Contact Vice President of Communications Molly Rath ( for information on the many opportunities for staff members, clients, partners and volunteers to advocate for policies and laws that advance our efforts to ensure health, housing and incomes for all.
