Medical Officer

Full-time Medical Officer to lead Baltimore-based Health Care for the Homeless in delivering primary medical care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients in clinic and outreach settings.  Responsibilities include direct supervision of medical providers and other staff, provision and evaluation of clinical care, and participation at a senior level in agency management. 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.

  • Physician's license in Maryland.

  • Completed residency and board eligibility in a primary care specialty.  Current board certification preferred; Board certification within one year required.

  • Successfully complete credentialing processes of contracting hospital and Health Care for the Homeless.

  • Comfortable with team management.

  • Experience with nurse practitioners and other mid-level clinicians

  • Experience in quality assurance and risk management programs

  • Experience and comfort with indigent or homeless populations.

  • Desire to collaborate in multi-disciplinary setting, integrating medical and behavioral services.

  • Experience in direct supervision of physicians and medical students preferred.
