Kevin Lindamood, MSW President & CEO |
Kevin Lindamood is a local and national leader on homelessness and health. He first joined Health Care for the Homeless in 1993 as a volunteer outreach worker. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Lindamood returned to Baltimore in 1999 as a case manager and would later serve as Health Policy Organizer, Community Relations Coordinator, Director of Public Affairs, and Vice President for External Affairs. He became the fourth chief executive of Health Care for the Homeless in October 2011.
Lindamood has experience in community organization, clinical practice, and nonprofit management. He led the successful campaign to preserve HCH’s Westside clinic; integrated and quadrupled the agency’s public policy, development, and public benefits capacity; and oversaw the political and fundraising processes which resulted in HCH’s new location at 421 Fallsway. He has worked with HCH projects nationally to integrate direct services and advocacy and presents frequently on homelessness and health.
Well known throughout the community, Lindamood chairs the State’s Maryland Medicaid Advisory Committee, participates on the Policy Committee of the United Way of Central Maryland, and serves on the Boards of Directors for Baltimore Health Care Access, the Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative, and the National Health Care for the Homeless Council. Lindamood has taught social planning and health policy at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and is a graduate of the 2011 class of Baltimore LEADERship, a program of the greater Baltimore Committee.
