The Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative is a non-profit corporation working to bring about a coordinated system ensuring universal access to health care in Maryland. HCH is a founding member of a coalition now numbering over 1,000 organizations in support of universal health care legislation.

National Health Care for the Homeless Council

The National Council is a membership organization of health care providers working with homeless people across the United States. The Council exists to help bring about reform of the health care system to best serve the needs of people who are homeless. Members of the HCH Clinicians' Network share a passionate commitment to combating and preventing homelessness while improving the health and quality of life of homeless people. The Network provides opportunities for education, information sharing, peer support and networking. Membership in the Clinicians' Network is open to any hands-on provider of care to homeless individuals.

National Coalition for the Homeless - www.nationalhomeless.org
National Council is a national advocacy network of homeless persons, activists, service providers and others committed to ending homelessness through public education, policy advocacy, grassroots organizing and technical assistance.

National Priorities Project - www.natprior.org
The National Priorities Project is a non-profit research and education organization providing citizens, community groups and elected officials with the tools they need to shape federal budget and policy priorities.

National Low Income Housing Coalition - www.nlihc.org
The National Low Income Housing Coalition/LIHIS is the only national organization dedicated solely to ending America's affordable housing crisis. The coalition is committed to educating, organizing and advocating to ensure decent, affordable housing within health neighborhoods for everyone. The organization provides up-to-date information, formulates policy and educates the public on housing needs and the strategies for solutions.
