Q: Do you conduct tours of your facility?
A: There are few better ways to understand the work and mission of Health Care for the Homeless than to tour our clinical facility. Q: My school would like to start a drive to collect items to help your clients. What kind of items do you need and how would we deliver them?
A: HCH appreciates in-kind contributions of personal care items and other necessities. Given limited space and constantly changing needs, please contact us before you start the drive to ensure we have the capacity to store and use the items. Q: How may I explore an internship with HCH, and what kind of opportunities do you offer?
A: HCH professional staff are trained in a variety of fields including medicine, nursing, mental health, social work, addictions, policy, financial development, and administration. Internships are arranged on a case-by-case basis depending upon the needs of the organization. To work with clients, you typically need to be part of a clinically-oriented program which can provide liability insurance. Such programs are traditionally in the medical professions or social work.
