What:  Part 2: Addressing Racial Inequities in Health Care Amid Emergencies and Disasters. Community of Practice conversations are designed to equip local stakeholders with tools to address disparities and build alliances helpful in creating sustainable solutions for ending homelessness. Panelists Howard County Executive Calvin Ball III, Ed.D. and Randi Woods, MS, MBA, RN will continue these important conversations. Participants include a cross-section of faith and community-based, education, business, health care, government, law enforcement and philanthropic leaders.

  • The second session in this two-part series will focus on addressing racial inequities in the recovery stages of COVID-19
  • Panelists will discuss the need to abandon “status quo/business as usual” systems, policies and practices that perpetuate the root causes of homelessness pertaining to race
  • The conversation will also include strategies and practices that communities can adopt to eliminate the perpetuation of racial inequities in a post-COVID-19 world.
