Each year on the winter solstice, the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, Baltimore joins communities across the country to commemorate Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. Together, we remember those in our communities who have lost their lives while experiencing housing instability, and we advocate for the necessary policy changes to stop the loss of life in homelessness.
We need your help collecting the names and stories of people who have passed away in 2016 and experienced housing instability. Please send names and stories of individuals that you would like to remember to memorialday@hchmd.org.
Please join us as we remember those we’ve lost, and rededicate our efforts to ending poverty and homelessness.
