What is Chocolate Affair Movie Night? The event experience includes five short independent films, including the premiere of “Past Due,” an original documentary by Health Care for the Homeless.
Where can I purchase tickets? Purchase your ticket through Monday, February 21, 2022 at www.chocolateaffair.org.
How do I access the film series? You will receive a link to give you access to the screening at approximately 6 p.m. on February 18. The email will be titled “Your link to Chocolate Affair Movie Night” from The Chocolate Affair (reply email: donations@hchmd.org). To unlock the film series, enter your name and email. You should also receive an email reminder the morning of February 18 with a reminder to expect your link at 6 p.m..
Is there a live component to the Chocolate Affair? Yes! The event will broadcast live on Friday, February 18 at 7 p.m., and will conclude with a warm sendoff from President and CEO Kevin Lindamood.
I can't find the email with my video link. Where is it? The email may have been caught by the spam filter on your email. If you don't see it in your spam folder, contact us at donations@hchmd.org or 443-703-1469 and we will resend you a new link.
The page won't load. What should I do? You might be using an older browser.* The Eventive page is supported by the following browsers, and recommends using the latest version:

How do I cast to my television? If you have an Apple TV, Chromecast, or a smart TV enabled with AirPlay or Chromecast, set your computer, mobile device or browser to “AirPlay” or “cast” to the television. Alternatively, connect your television to a laptop using a HDMI cord.
What is the runtime of the film series? The entire show will run just over one hour. A virtual program of the complete film listing is also available here.
How long can I access the films? The film series is available to watch through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, February 21.
Can I choose the order of the films? The web-based Eventive platform used to support viewing allows you to advance to the introduction of any film in the series you choose, however we highly recommend you simply click play and enjoy the curated experience.
Can I watch a film more than once? Yes, you can pause, rewind, or restart the film as many times as you wish until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, February 21.
Do I need to download an app to use Eventive? You do not need to download any software to stream the video.
Do I need to create an Eventive account to stream the video? You do not need an account, but you will be asked to enter your name and email address to access the screening.
Why is there an UNLOCK button in Eventive? The term UNLOCK indicates that the screening is exclusive to individuals who have purchased a ticket to the Chocolate Affair.
I bought a ticket but have not received a confirmation email. What do I do? If you did not receive an email, contact us at donations@hchmd.org or 443-703-1469. Support will be available throughout the weekend.
I purchased a ticket and unlocked an event, but now it’s telling me to unlock it again. What should I do? Contact us at donations@hchmd.org or 443-703-1469.
Is closed captioning available? Closed captioning will be available for the entire Chocolate Affair. Please contact donations@hchmd.org or 443-703-1469 with any issues.
