Strategic Plan

Five themes inform our annual priorities and daily work.

In 2012, the Health Care for the Homeless community engaged in a strategic planning process. Over six months, we revisited the agency's mission, assessed the local health care environment and poverty landscape and articulated a direction for the next five years. The 2013-2017 strategic plan that emerged identifies five themes.

The Big Five

  • Invest internally to strengthen operations, staff development and staff compensation

  • Increase net revenue through expanded insurance reimbursements and improved fundraising

  • Continue to improve the quality of our services by developing transparent and measurable outcomes to demonstrate our effectiveness throughout the organization and in the community

  • As internal improvements take hold, look for ways to serve more of those in need

  • Leverage our reputation as a community leader to engage others to improve access to affordable housing and end homelessness
