Baltimore City and County schools opened their doors on August 26. Our Pediatric & Family Clinic team wants to make sure everyone in our community has access to all the tools they need for a successful school year. Check out these resources to support teachers, parents/guardians and their little ones.

Services and resources at Health Care for the Homeless:

We can help with:
(Providers speak both English and Spanish)
- Getting your child up-to-date on the required vaccinations (Flu vaccines will be available starting later in September)
- Completing physical exams that are sometimes required by schools (Offered by appointment)
- Providing referrals to specialty medical care
- Sharing education on child health like on nutrition, exercise, emotional health and wellness and learning concerns
Care in the community:
In addition to our Pediatric & Family Clinic at 421 Fallsway, we also offer pediatric and adolescent care at our Baltimore County, West Baltimore, and Mobile Clinic sites (see more info on our hours and locations). Our staff also hold a clinic for residents at Sarah's Hope Family Shelter three times per month.

Local and statewide resources:
- Child Find Services: Special education service provided by every county for identifying children from ages three through twenty-one who are suspected of having an educational disability and who may be eligible for special education and related services.

Resources for parents and guardians of children ages 1-5 years-old including: - Baltimore City Public Schools Uniform Assistance for Homeless Students: English | Spanish

Youth engagement program in Baltimore City that provides access to rent and utility assistance, food access and more - Baltimore City Immunization Program
Provides vaccines to children and adults by appointment, including free COVID-19 vaccinations for qualifying children and adults. Birth certificate, ID and vaccination record may be needed for children's vaccinations.

Apply for a free library card and get access to tons of free services and resources! (Need help getting ID or proof of residence? Ask to speak to a Health Care for the Homeless case manager.)

- Social Impact Programs—Free assistance and advice from lawyers, social workers, nurses, and more
- Borrow a "Mobile Hotspot"—Connect to free wifi and unlimited data at home (Spanish flyer)
- Chromebook distribution—Pratt Library is distributing 50,000 free Chromebook computers to eligible households (Spanish flyer)
- Read to Reef Book Club—Join and earn free admission to the National Aquarium (English | Spanish)

- Free notary services for "shared domicile forms" for Baltimore County Public School families, from August 1-September 21

Regardless of your housing situation, your child has a right to:

The McKinney-Vento Act ensures these rights and provides services to children experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
