The Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services has declared a winter shelter declaration for Thursday, 1/22 at 4PM through Tuesday, 1/27 at 9AM. Shelter seekers should call 211 or contact the Baltimore City Shelter Hotline at 443-984-9540. Get more info here.

Creating an opportunity to help

Bushra Lohrasbi loves to run. When COVID-19 ended her college semester early, she found herself stuck at home, looking for a way to help. She asked friends and family to sponsor each day she ran for a month by donating to Health Care for the Homeless. Over 31 days, she ran 135 miles and got 50 donations, raising over $700. You, too, can find a way to give to those who need it most here.

Every year we throw one fabulous, chocolate-themed bash. Join us for our annual Chocolate Affair for an evening of tasty food, dancing and fundraising. 

Getting Crafty

You and your colleagues can spend a day with us

Throughout the pandemic, people have crafted and donated hundreds of cloth masks to help keep our clients safe. Sara donated dozens of masks. "A lot of the fabric I used came from quilts or blankets that I never quite got to around to finishing. In a way, they became what they were meant to be: small pieces of fabric coming together to support something bigger." You can help, too. We give out dozens of masks each day and can always use more.
