5 reasons to get excited for #RockYourSocks5K!
The 10th Annual Rock Your Socks to Health & Home 5K is Saturday, November 2, 2024!
Still need to register? Sign up now to snag your commemorative socks, start earning fundraising swag, and meet us in Patterson Park!
1. Party with your community
The Rock Your Socks 5K is a party in the park, and it's been going 10 years strong. Grab your wildest socks and meet us for the 5K or 1-Mile Family Fun Lap—along with live music, games, giveaways, and goodies!
2. A rockin' race village
A race wouldn't be complete without plenty of treats and caffeine to power you up. Enjoy snacks and drinks from local businesses like THB Bagelry and Deli, Baltimore Coffee & Tea, Smoothie King, Wegman's and more—plus our returning crowd favorite, DJ Rod Madd Flava!
You'll also be able to take a tour of our Mobile Clinic and learn about some of our community partners like Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition and Renters United Maryland.
3. Fun for the family (and furry friends)
The Rock Your Socks 5K and 1-mile Family Fun Lap make the BEST Saturday morning outing for the whole family.
- It's prime season for the beautiful fall foliage and fresh air
- Kids in strollers stroll for free, and bigger kids will have fun with a bouncehouse, basketball carnival game, cornhole, music, and dancing
- Little ones (and the young at heart) can win prizes like the "Golden Sock Award" for wildest socks
- Plus if you have any four-legged racing buddies, the race start at Pulaski Monument is right by Patterson Park Dog Park
4. Rep your team
When you register, you can join a fundraising team or start your own! Check out some of our top teams made up of Health Care for the Homeless staff, friends and family.
No Agony for De Feet: Team Captain Christina Bauer
Overwhelming SOCKcess: Team Captain Hanna Mast
Medical Marvels: Team Captain Catherine Denver
Running Up That Hill: Team Captain Kevin Lindamood
Koala-tea: Team Captain Margaret Flanagan
5. Run to end homelessness
Every dollar you raise supports the mission of Health Care for the Homeless and helps neighbors regain health and a safe place to call home.
Right now, all fundraising dollars are being DOUBLED by our Board of Directors.
- $100 = sunglasses for you, and two telehealth appointments for someone experiencing homelessness in Baltimore
- $500 = a cool crossbody bag, and a FULL YEAR of uncovered care for one person at Health Care for the Homeless
- $1000 = an athletic hoodie, and enough roundtrip bus fare for 250 people to get to their appointments at our clinics!
