5 Reasons to Rock Your Socks this Saturday!
Rock Your Socks to Health & Home 5K on Saturday, 11/1
Register by noon Friday or sign up in-person on race day for $50! Snag commemorative socks, earn fundraising swag, and join us in Patterson Park. Kids in strollers stroll for free, and bigger kids will have fun with a bounce house, basketball carnival game, music and art table.
Health Care for the Homeless is marking 40 years of service to the Baltimore community, so let's celebrate together!
1. Swag that gives back
Run, walk or stroll to help end homelessness in Baltimore. Every dollar you raise supports the mission of Health Care for the Homeless and helps neighbors regain health and a safe place to call home.
Right now, fundraising dollars up to $7,500 are being DOUBLED by our Board of Directors.
- $250 = a thermos, and two telehealth appointments for someone experiencing homelessness in Baltimore
- $500 = a lunchbox, and a FULL YEAR of uncovered care for one person at Health Care for the Homeless
- $1000 = a windbreaker, and enough roundtrip bus fare for 250 people to get to their appointments at our clinics!
2. Gather in our race village
Fuel up with snacks and drinks from local businesses like The Smoothie Garden, THB Bagelry and Deli, Baltimore Coffee & Tea and Wegman's.
We've got a bounce house, basketball carnival game and art table for kids. Plus, you'll be able to tour our Mobile Clinic and meet folks from Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition.
3. Dance to 80s beats with DJ Rod Madd Flava
Show off your smooth moves and break it down to throwback hits! DJ Rod Madd Flava will pump up the jams to cheer on walkers and runners.
4. Dress to impress
Show off your best 80s outfit! Break out acid-washed denim and accessorize with neon sunglasses. Or keep the Halloween vibes going and wear your costume!
Little ones (and the young at heart) can win prizes like the "Golden Sock Award" for wildest socks! Fuzzy socks, toe socks, stripes and more, rock your favorite pair for the occasion.
5. Admire the fall colors
Spot the changing colors of the leaves and listen for that classic crunch under your sneakers. It's time for you (and your furry friends) to enjoy the outdoors in Baltimore's gorgeous Patterson Park.
