"It really does take a village to care for this population. This is a really vulnerable and complex population and there are so many needs. And because of that, all of the specialties really do come into play. For example, I might be working on the medications piece or the diabetes education piece for clients, but who will take care of getting them access to social services benefits? Who will work with them on a continuous basis if they’ve experienced trauma from a mental health perspective? Who will take care of their teeth?"
