We are a Mirror of Love

At The Chocolate Affair on Saturday, February 4, we premiered our original documentary, We are a Mirror of Love, a title taken from a poem by Albert Miller that both opens and closes this film.

Here you’ll meet Kiona, Albert, Athena and Spencer, four people who share the experience of homelessness and the refusal to let it define them. Each has thoughts about the meaning of health and home and how we can transform society by putting love into action. As you watch, reflect upon the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”
