Chocolate Affair 2018

Saturday, February 3 had all the right ingredients for one sweet night at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront:

  • 800+ glamourous guests
  • Dozens of decadent dishes from Baltimore’s top chefs
  • $600,000+ raised for health care and housing for our neighbors without homes

With presenting sponsor CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, our Health Care for the Homeless community came together to make home a reality for hundreds of neighbors like Jimmy.

As Jimmy explained in the evening’s featured video, “Living in an apartment is like a godsend. I’m beginning to feel more pride in having a place. I’m proud that I’m still here. That I got up. But it’s just a start.”

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers, chefs, sponsors, staff and YOU for making Chocolate Affair 2018 an unparalleled evening of fundraising—and fun.

Same faces, new titles. And a chance to move our mission forward in a different capacity. Take a minute to read through who is going where, and why they're most excited about their new positions.

On Saturday, February 2, 800+ spectacularly dressed chocolate lovers filed into the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront for the sweetest night of the year. By the end of the night, our incredible Health Care for the Homeless community raised enough money to give 1,000 of people the care they need to regain health, hope and opportunity.

Brandon Berryain doesn’t want his position on our Board of Directors to be a status symbol. For him, it’s an opportunity to ground the Board with his lived experience and encourage other clients to get involved. Brandon says, “As much as being a leader matters, it’s being an example that matters more.”
