Remembering Christopher Thompson

In early April, we lost long-time client, Christopher H. Thompson, Sr.—a member of our community so well known that few can remember a Health Care for the Homeless without his presence.
In 2010, when the mural on our Fallsway clinic was unveiled to the public, a reporter asked him what part he painted. Christopher pointed to the celestial orbs on the upper left side of the mural. “I painted the moon and stars,” he said, proudly, “because when I slept on a park bench at City Hall and looked up at the sky, sometimes I could see them.”

- “I am heartbroken to hear about Mr. Thompson. I had the pleasure of getting to know him through the art group. In the short time I had the pleasure of knowing him, I was always so grateful for his gentleness, smile and creativity.
