2021 Core Value Awardees

12.13.21

Every year at our staff retreat, we take time to honor and celebrate staff members who best represent our Core Values and one HCH-er at Heart.

Review this year's awardees below!

HCH-er at Heart
Chris Campbell, Facilities Technician II

“I am honored to be recognized. I love what I do and that I can help solve problems and make spaces nicer for people who I see working so hard to make the world a better place. It is a privilege and humbling to have a small part in making things better for the clients.”

In the words of the World’s Best Football (soccer) team, the Liverpool Football Club:
“When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark at the end of a storm, there's a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind. Walk on through the rain. Though your dreams be tossed and blown, walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone.”

Dignity: Malcolm Williams, LCSW-C, Client Relations Coordinator
“Show up and show respect. Compassion is what we inject, into those we come in contact with. Move with pride and purpose, show love and dedication, for dignity is the key to a greater you, a greater me, a greater humanity.”

Authenticity: Danielle Brodie, Client Service Representative
“This award is nothing short of amazing. I greatly appreciate it, and I also appreciate everyone that nominated me. I know it was my awesome teammates. I love you guys.HUGS AND KISSES.”

Hope: Amelia Jackson, CRNP, Nurse Practitioner
“Courage is like love; it must have hope for nourishment.”
Napoleon Bonaparte

Hope is essential for me. I operate from the belief that light can penetrate even the darkest places and that when we intentionally shine our light, “we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”
Marianne Williamson

The belief that things can always get better, that is “hope” to me.

Justice: Emilie Casselle, RN, MAT RN
A Small Needful Fact
Is that Eric Garner worked
for some time for the Parks and Rec.
Horticultural Department, which means,
perhaps, that with his very large hands,
perhaps, in all likelihood,
he put gently into the earth
some plants which, most likely,
some of them, in all likelihood,
continue to grow, continue
to do what such plants do, like house
and feed small and necessary creatures,
like being pleasant to touch and smell,
like converting sunlight
into food, like making it easier
for us to breathe.
- Ross Gay

Passion: Katie Healy, Health Informatics Applications Administrator
“Passion is the driving force behind success and happiness in work and in life. It is a powerful motivator in our continued efforts to improve the world around us to the fullest extent possible.”

Balance: Tammy Montague, LMSW, Therapist Case Manager
“For me, balance is an intentional way of living life with my whole heart. And other people can see an open heart.”
