The time for affordable housing is now!

06.05.18

This is a BIG moment for the future of affordable housing in Baltimore. And we need your help.

Baltimore City Councilmembers introduced the Fund the Trust Act that would finally create a funding stream for the Affordable Housing Trust Fund. The bill is now with the Taxation, Finance and Economic Development Committee in City Council for review, and a public hearing is expected to take place on July 19. This is huge, and we're doing everything we can to drum up support and engagement leading up to, and including, the public hearing.

We’re headed in the right direction, but businesses are beginning to pressure councilmembers to withdraw their support. We need YOUR HELP to fight for affordable and equitable housing!

3 things you can do...

1. Have your voice heard

Contact your councilperson. Then, share this graphic on social media, encouraging others to do the same.

2. Join us for one—or all!—of these upcoming events.

3. Come to the City Council Hearing!
